PLUVITEC Waterproofing Membranes
PLUVITEC S.p.A. is a relatively young (founded in 1988) Italian company focused on design and production of innovative bituminous waterproofing membranes and systems.
PLUVITEC designs and develops its own production machinery, which is now among the most technologically advanced in the sector. With its new production cycle, PLUVITEC is capable of producing the new generation of composite membranes, self- adhesive, thermo- adhesive, metal layer self- protected and composite membranes. The standard range is now flanked by a series of products for special uses plus another of high-tech products.
PLUVITEC has 3 production lines with a capacity of 25 000 000 sq.m. per year. The factory is located in the small town of Ronco all’Adige, near Verona. Production is exported to more than 40 countries worldwide.
ISOTRADE has been purchasing PLUVITEC membranes from the very beginning of its market presence in 2005, two years later being granted sole distributorship for Bulgaria.

HIGH- TECH PRODUCTS
a.) PLURA Series of Composite Membranes
Traditional production technology allows the use of only one type of waterproofing mass, the choice being of a membrane based on plastomers (APP), or elastomers (SBS).
With composite membrane technology however, each layer of the membrane is designed and made to fit the technical requirements needed to work best on both the upper and lower faces.
In most cases, different technical characteristics are required of the two external surfaces of the membrane. This can only be achieved, if two different waterproofing masses are combined together. It is well known that products based on SBS have greater adhesion, elasticity, flexibility at low temperatures and tear resistance; but their heat resistance is poorer than products based on APP (softening and flow). APP membranes have also greater resistance to external atmospheric agents (especially UV rays) and foot traffic. So, the membranes of the PLURA Series have an upper layer based on APP and a lower layer based on SBS.

b.) PRATICO Series of Double Reinforced Membranes
The particular architecture of double reinforced membranes (woven-non-woven fabric and glass fibre mat) gives them excellent dimensional stability. The glass fibre mat prevents deformation of the woven-non-woven polyester fabric during manufacture, stopping shrinkage after application, even on very thick thermal insulation.
Its greater surface toughness, thermal and mechanical protection, and resistance to atmospheric agents, in particular UV rays, given to it by the glass fibre layer on the upper surface, make the double reinforced membranes unique in terms of ageing, durability, and low maintenance.
Other advantages related to the particular architecture of this product are: greater resistance to foot or on-site traffic, no peeling of compond when left exposed and with covering exposed, greater thickness of the compound on the lower side.
All these factors mean that the membranes described above can be applied in a single layer and without heavy or light protection.

Advantages of application with Pratiko Adhesive
- The PRATIKO system, with the use of bituminous adhesives, gives complete waterproof adhesion to the supporting surface, making tracing of accidental leakiges easier. It also ensures very good wind uplift resistance (about 1000 kg/sq. m.).
- Elimination of the supporting surface's roughness by saturating the irregularities and creating an impermeable adhesive layer ready for the laying of the waterproofing membrane.
- The waterproofing layer is installed on a bed of bituminous adhesive, which remains always plastic, and consequently the membrane is not subject to tensions and alterations due to movements of the building structure.
- Almost full elimination of open flames on the work site (gas- torching is used only for the overlaps).
